Leaking WaterLeaking Water
One of the most common issues we get asked to repair is when a unit is leaking water. The reasons for a unit leaking can be because the unit has not been serviced or the condensate pump has failed. This type of repair is nearly always completed within the first hour on site, making it a relatively simple repair. Call our team to arrange for an engineer to attend site.

Loss Of PerformanceLoss Of Performance
When the air conditioning unit is not performing as it once did it may be a simple result of not having the unit regularly serviced, or it could be a more serious issue such as a refrigerant leak. If the unit is dirty, having the system deep cleaned is often enough to resolve the problem, but more in-depth investigations are required to find a potential leak. We will quote for any additional works so you won’t receive an unexpected invoice. Call our expert team to arrange for an engineer to attend site.

Prone To FreezingProne To Freezing
If the air conditioning looks like it is freezing up and possibly dripping water onto the floor, then you will require our engineers to attend site. We will check if the unit needs a deep clean, or if the refrigerant system is leaking and report our findings. If the unit is dirty, then it can’t ‘breathe’ properly, and the chilled air can’t escape into the room so the unit then freezes. The same effect happens if the system has a leak, and the unit will eventually fail and might need replacing, so call us as soon as you notice the problem.

Stale OdoursStale Odours
Air conditioning units produce condensate (water), and this runs inside the units and is eventually removed from the system. This condensate mixed with ever-changing temperatures can create bacteria on the coils. Having the unit serviced regularly with the correct chemicals not only removes these smells but makes the system more efficient.

Increased Energy BillsIncreased Energy Bills
For a system to run at optimum performance, it needs to be able to breathe freely. If the air conditioner is blocked with muck and grime, then it has to work a lot harder to achieve the same amount of cooling or heating. The more blocked the air con unit is, the more electricity it will draw. Having the unit serviced regularly, therefore, lowers energy consumption, lowers repair and maintains manufacturer’s warranty.

Poor AirflowPoor Airflow
When it feels like the flow of air from the unit is not as powerful as before it might need a simple adjustment of the fan speed on the controller, or it could be a faulty fan motor especially if it sounds noisy. If the filters on the indoor unit are dirty, or grime has attached itself to the fan blades, it will require either a general clean or possibly a deep clean depending on the severity of the problem. Our air conditioning engineers can repair units or service them typically the same day we are called.

Air Conditioning Engineers in London
We cannot overstate the necessity that air conditioning systems are regularly maintained. Our teams of dedicated air conditioning service engineers operate throughout London and the Home Counties and they purely focus on both servicing and maintenance of aircon units. Their vast experience can determine whether a particular part is near the end of its serviceability and advise that it be replaced to avoid the unit breaking down when you most need it.
There’s no ‘ifs and buts’ that the lifespan of regularly serviced air conditioning units will outlast units that have been neglected. We are still servicing units that we installed over ten years ago which run as well as they did the day they were installed. Conversely, we’ve seen the same branded units that have needed replacing after only three years due to the lack of regular servicing. Well-maintained air conditioning equipment keeps running at peak performance and keeps energy bills down!
We offer an unrivalled 10-year warranty on virtually all of the units we install. We hope that speaks volumes as to the minimum life-expectancy we expect our installations to achieve.
Our Air Conditioner Service Team
In addition to our air conditioning engineers, we also have a dedicated customer support team based at our London head office. They will always keep you fully updated throughout the process and are always on hand to answer your questions.
We can offer you a ‘tailor made’ Planned Preventative Maintenance program to suit your needs which will ensure that your air conditioners are always working at optimum performance levels.
We maintain air conditioners in buildings of all shapes and sizes from, homes, offices, and shops to hotels, schools, and hospitals.
How Do I Know if my Air Con Needs Servicing?
There are several tell-tale signs that show your aircon service is overdue. Common signs are when you notice that the unit no longer performs as well as it used to, e.g. not cooling or heating as effectively, or air flow is restricted. Another common sign would be unpleasant smells coming from the system. If any of these signs are apparent, then it is important to get your units serviced ASAP. During this time you are at the highest risk of the unit failing. It is our experience that the vast majority of expensive air conditioning repairs occur in systems which have not been subject to regular maintenance or servicing.
The installation of your air conditioning system is a major investment. Naturally, you will want to protect your investment by both prolonging the life of your system and ensuring that the air conditioning units continue to run efficiently and economically.
Our Recommended AC Service Plans
Our engineers will carry out a full assessment of the units when they complete the AC maintenance. They will give both the indoor and outdoor units a thorough clean, both internally and externally. They will check that the system is operating within normal parameters and will flush out the drain lines which will help reduce the possibility of future leaks. We do not simply clean the filters as many less than reputable AC companies do when they “service” your units.
We will send you a written quotation detailing everything that is included in your service and maintenance programme; the quotation will also include all pricing information so you know exactly what you will be receiving and how much it will cost before you commit to a maintenance contract.
Our maintenance plans are bespoke for your specific system and are set up to ensure you will receive the best value for money. When we have installed your air conditioner, you are automatically enrolled into our unrivaled 10-year warranty when you have chosen us as you annual maintenance engineers. There is no better protection available from any other air conditioning company for what can often be a major investment.
How Often Should a System be Serviced?
Typically, when an AC system is used in a residential environment for cooling only, one service visit per annum is generally sufficient. However, where the system is used in both heating and cooling modes, we recommend at least two visits per year.
For commercial applications, e.g. shops, offices or restaurants, a minimum of two visits per year would be required. In critical locations, e.g. server rooms, trading floors, workshops or hairdressing or beauty salons where there are often high levels of airborne pollutants in the air, we would advise that your air conditioning maintenance program allows for three or more service visits.
We also offer great deals if you have multiple air conditioners that require servicing. Contact us for further information and a quotation on our air conditioning service and maintenance packages.
