First he’s furious because he wants to make a big wall, and now he’s all wound up about air conditioning, it’s starting to look like Donald Trump is just a very frustrated builder under under that fluffy hairdo.
While hosting an event at a hotel in Roanoke, Virginia, this week, the presidential candidate was so unhappy with the temperature inside that he threatened to run out with his bill unpaid. Addressing the Roanoke & Conference Center, and also seemingly forgetting where he was, he said: “I don’t know what hotel this is, but you ought to try turning on the air conditioning or we’re not going to get you paid.
“This is ridiculous, so then there’ll be an article, ‘Donald Trump refuses to pay the bill.’ Of course. And you know what, the smart people say, ‘Trump is smart’,” said the smart man who didn’t know what hotel his own event was in.
“The other people would say, ‘Oh, isn’t that terrible.’ OK. I think the ballroom and the people that own this hotel should be ashamed of themselves.”
Responding to Trump’s accusations that the air conditioning wasn’t turned on for the event – which took place during temperatures of 96 degrees outdoors – the Hotel told local TV station WDBJ: “The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center’s HVAC system was on and working properly throughout the event to provide a comfortable environment for all in attendance.
“Temperatures in the mid to upper-90’s, doors opened for two hours to let hundreds of attendees enter and the ballroom filled to capacity did present a challenge. However, hotel staff did everything possible to keep guests comfortable and accommodated, both inside and out.”
Later reports also suggested that Trump was unhappy with the strength of his tea, and that the hotel dress code did not permit him to wear his trousers halfway down his bum.
