Where to Use a Wall Mounted Unit
Wall-mounted air conditioning units are placed on a wall at a high level and are ideal for smaller areas such as bedrooms, living rooms, offices, server rooms and shops. They are installed in a position that can supply the room with an even air flow. Wall units are exceptionally quiet and most people can sleep quite comfortably with the unit turned on.

The Units We Recommend
There is a large number of air conditioning manufacturers around the world and it can be difficult choosing the ideal wall aircon system that best suits your situation. Here at the Air Conditioning Company, we’ve used our 30 years of experience to narrow down the list of available manufacturers and only recommend and supply units from the top manufacturers in terms of price, quality, aesthetics and efficiency.
Regarding pricing, we recommend different ranges to suit all budgets. However, it’s important to note that just because a unit is cheaper, it does not necessarily mean that it’s technical specifications are not as good as a more expensive unit. In many cases, a unit is only more expensive because of the brand or the aesthetics. The reason we can offer a ten-year warranty on our installations is simply because we know that we can trust both our chosen manufacturers and our expert installers.
Our surveyors will discuss all the options available and will provide you with brochures and pictures to help make your decision.
Smart and Sleek Wall Air Conditioning Units
Mitsubishi Zen
The Zen is a very popular premium wall aircon unit and is certainly one of the best-looking units on the market; this unit offers a sophisticated, streamlined design.
It comes in a variety of powers (2.5kW, 3.5kW, and 5kW) which are ideal for most applications. There are also three different colour options (black, silver and white) so you can pick the model that integrates perfectly with the design or décor of your room.
The two smaller models offer extremely energy efficient ratings of ‘A+++’ and the 5kW unit is ‘A++’. They are exceptionally quiet and are “recognised by the Noise Abatement Society for industry-leading low noise levels”.
It is also compatible with a multi-split system which means that even when installing multiple indoor wall units (up to five) you only require one outdoor condenser unit; this is a very useful option if there is limited space for multiple external condenser units.
Mitsubishi have also just released the LN wall mounted air conditioner. Have a look at the video, it’s a very impressive unit: Video.
Gree Moda
The Moda is a brand new wall mounted aircon model on the market and has quickly become one of our best sellers. This unit is manufactured by Gree which is the largest supplier of air conditioning units in the world (they make one in every three air conditioners) and also provides high-performance parts to Daikin Air Conditioning.
The Moda is ultra-slim – it is a class-leading 30% slimmer than most conventional air conditioners and is available in ‘ice white’ with a sleek metallic trim. It perfectly blends into modern rooms and will bring a high-end feel to any home or office.
The Moda unit is highly efficient with its ‘A++’ energy rating. It is also very economical to run and utilises G10 inverter technology and cutting-edge control systems. The Moda has a unique, patented remote temperature sensor built into the remote control, ensuring the selected temperature is achieved wherever it is placed in the room.
If that’s not enough, the Moda has three sleep functions including one that can be custom set to adjust the temperature of the room to match your own sleep pattern.
Daikin Emura
Daikin has long been considered the brand leader in the UK market based on their years of successfully manufacturing and trading ultra high-quality air conditioners. The Emura has a unique curved facia and a particularly elegant appearance.
The Daikin Emura has integrated ‘smart sensors’ that monitor room conditions for optimal performance. It’s “intelligent eye” can identify whether or not the room is occupied and if the room is empty for more than 20 minutes, it will adjust its settings to save power (immediately switching back to full power when it detects movement). On top of this, the ‘eye’ amazingly directs air away from people in the room to avoid anyone feeling a cold draft.
The Emura wall unit also has a “sophisticated titanium apatite photocatalytic air purification filter that traps microscopic airborne particles, breaks down odours and absorbs organic contaminants such as bacteria and viruses.”
Ultra-Efficiency, Advanced Technology
Wall-mounted air conditioners have come a long way over the years and the major players in the industry have tirelessly committed themselves to improve the energy efficiency of their units. Every unit that we supply and install for our customers is highly energy-efficient and very economical to run.
The wall-mounted air conditioning units we install are extremely energy efficient and whisper-quiet. The energy efficiency ratings of the units we install are exceptional, with most wall-units being rated “A++”.
One of the main reasons for this is that the heat pump and inverter technology on our split air conditioners is far more efficient than traditional methods of heating e.g. radiators and electric heaters. So it’s certainly worth considering using your air conditioner as your primary source of heating.
